Regional Anesthesia Fellowship

Woodland Anesthesiology Associates, in partnership with Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, offers a fellowship program designed to produce experts in regional anesthesia and acute pain management. Our fellows rotate through the Connecticut Joint Replacement Institute (CJRI), Lighthouse Surgery Center, main operating room and ambulatory surgery center.

CJRI is the largest arthroplasty program in Connecticut and is ranked as one of the top joint replacement centers nationally. Our department performs over 5,000 regional anesthesia procedures per year, and is involved in a variety of clinical studies including patient-reported outcome research, supported by a team of statisticians and nurses. Fellows will be expected to initiate and participate in ongoing research projects and will have the opportunity to present their studies at national/international meetings.
